Isaac's Bday & Children's Museum

We got to celebrate Isaac's 3rd birthday with him this year!

Elise loved her party hat!

Impossible to get a good photo of all 3 of them.

The Children's Museum in Greensboro is so great! Jessica and Isaac were kind enough to share their guest passes with us.

NC

After just a few days in MD, the kids and I were off on our first road trip to NC!

Reunited and it feels so good!

The kids did this on their own, I promise!

Sisters!

At Granny and Papa's house, playing with bubbles.

The boys...

...and the girls.

Elise helped take this one.

And Finley took this one.

Lots of time at playgrounds this summer. Need to keep these active kids busy!

Back to Blogging

I'm obviously WAY behind on blogging, so I'm going to start with time in the U.S. and I'll have to catch up on May/June in HK later. Here are a few photos from our first days at the new house.

Jet-lagged Elise resting in the Target shopping cart. Hooray for being back in the land of Target!

So glad to spend a little extra time with the Nelson family (on holiday in DC) and prolong the HK goodbye!

The kids call our swing set that came with the house "our playground".

Roasting marshmallows in our fire pit!

Checking out the new 'hood.

The Ball, Mother's Day, and The Bed

HKIS has an annual fundraising ball every year, and a family was so kind as to sponsor our tickets.  So fun to play dress up for a night!

Getting ready for church on Mother's Day with my two little loves.

These two are obsessed with our bed.  At least once every day (usually more) they are trying to jump, wrestle, or (occasionally) pretend to sleep on it.  This just happened to be a day where they were playing nicely and not attacking each other.

House Hunting

See this house?  See how is says PENDING?  After a couple of super crazy weeks, we've had an offer accepted on this house in Silver Spring, MD, just outside of DC.  Let me tell you, it's been a crazy ride…and it's nowhere near over yet.  I can't even begin to relay all that's happened in the last 10 days, but let's just say it's really difficult to buy a house from 12 time zones away and we're TIRED but hopeful and thankful for God's provision!

Two Cuties

Curled up in a ball on my leg. ❤️

Dancing around and playing the recorder. So happy! :)

Vietnam, Part 2

So I'm slightly behind in getting these up, but here are the other Vietnam photos.  Better late than never!  These were mostly taken at our resort where we spent days playing at the pool, or in the old town part of Hoi An where we went each evening for dinner.

Lanterns galore

This would be why the kids enjoyed the pool so much!

Paradise

The evening light on the old, yellow buildings was lovely.

This kid loves smoothies.

Last night.  Best trip ever!
