The Bunny

We have at least one bunny that lives at our house and the kids love to watch it. Finley is begging to bring it in and keep it as a pet.

This is him trying to hug it from afar.

I had to make chex mix to celebrate being able to buy the cereal for less than $8/box now!

There is way too much IKEA furniture to be out together in our house right now, and nowhere near enough time to do it. The bed alone took 4 hours!

Puppets, Denizens, Experiments

We don't have many toys (or anything else for that matter) but the kids like this fort!

We went to a little kid puppet show (only 30 minutes, they don't turn the lights off, kids making noise and standing is okay) and the kids got to hug the panda puppet afterwards. Love Finley's sweet face here!

Elise brought her panda and let it hug the panda puppet!

There are no dates anymore, so we try to go on a weekly family date instead. We had to try this local BBQ restaurant/brewery named Denizens, and it did not disappoint!

Doing science experiments in our pajamas= summer school!

More Playgrounds

Here's a little video of when we turned our playset into a water park. The slide was fast! (Finley filmed the part with Elise.)  Click HERE.

More fun exploring all the parks and playgrounds near by.
They got in the bus and Elise said, "Finley, do you want me to take you to Trader Joe's?"

Slides for all ages and sizes!

Kids Singing

The kids were in a Doc McStuffins singing mood at the playground and kept asking me to record them. So cute! Click HERE to watch.

First Week in MD

After lots of driving, flying, and visiting family, we finally arrived to our new home for good. The kids are having a rough time and ask often about going back to HK, but we're trying to help them have lots of fun experiences here.

We have a park within walking distance of our house.

We checked out this sprayground about 15 minutes away.

Bought a new bed because we can't stand the first one and are returning it. Elise insisted on posing with the new one.

Had HK (now NY) friends visit us to bbq and go to a free concert downtown. We could have danced for hours!

And we went to a park 5 minutes away that has a train, carousel, and huge playground.

 Getting ready for our ride!

We are so, so far from settling in, but we're really trying to get out there and explore!

Cambodian Connection & Sprayground

A few more days in NC (and a few more doughnuts-- don't judge!). I saw a painting of a temple in Cambodia on the wall, and turns out the owner is a Cambodian refugee. I showed her the photo of our family at that same temple!

We had a fantastic time at a sprayground in Greensboro with Jessica and Isaac! The kids were running around like maniacs and left with some bloody knees, but they loved it!

Beach Life

The kids and I had a great week at the beach with my side of the fam. First morning-- straight to Krispy Kreme!! Oh how we missed these in HK.

Hit the beach every morning and pool after nap. That's the life.

Some girls caught fish and were so kind to share them with the kids.

Stomping what they built.
