Happy Easter! He is risen! We had such a fun Easter. Started off the day with Easter baskets, then an egg hunt at church and great service complete with Hallelujah Chorus, and a lovely Easter dinner with our awesome friends/neighbors.

Big Girl Bed!
Elise is officially 3.5 now and we figured it was about time to convert the crib into a big girl bed!
So far she's doing pretty awesome with staying in the bed! We went out for froyo to celebrate!

Cherry Blossoms
Our major outing over spring break was a trip to the tidal basin to see the cherry blossoms. (Much of the rest of the time has been spent on the house, which needs way more time and attention than either of us have.) The cherry blossoms are a big deal, and people come from all over to see them, so it was very crowded even on a weekday morning. But the weather was gorgeous-- 70s and sunny! We went to our favorite (only known) breakfast spot in the District and then attempted to walk off our delish biscuits and gravy. The kids spent most of the walk complaining about how tired they were, but they had been so well behaved at breakfast that it just wasn't maintainable the whole morning. Let's be reasonable. Nate and I enjoyed it though, and the kids (well, all of us) were exhausted by naptime!

Goodbye Ergo
I said goodbye last week to a dear friend. We've traveled the world together, carrying the most precious cargo. We've been spit up on (and worse) so many times I can't begin to count. End of an era for me. But luckily this treasure found an important new calling with Syrian refugees in Greece. Only fitting that it continues to travel the world and help other mommies and babies.

Date Night!
Nate and I are so excited to have finally found a babysitter for the occasional much-needed date night! This past weekend we went back to a restaurant we first visited about 10 years ago for yummy Asian-Latin fusion. We were right next to Chinatown and the ACC championship game (Go Heels!). So much familiarity in an unfamiliar place-- a restaurant from our past, tons of people roaming the streets in Carolina gear, and Chinese influence all around.
Silly Singer
This kid has so much personality! I just love it!
Here she is in action, jumping and singing on the bed, while watching herself in the mirror: http://youtu.be/Lx088m1KoLg
