Dairy Farm

Time to fly back to NC.  Elise threw a massive tantrum on the plane because she was tired, and then insisted on sleeping on Finley's lap for an entire flight.

We spent a great morning at a local dairy farm with Jessica and Isaac once we got back to NC.

This calf was trying to eat Isaac's pants.

The kids learned how to milk a cow on a pretend one.

They fed the baby milk from a bottle.

We took a hayride around the premises and learned about the farm.

Probably the kids' first exposure to hay, but no one seemed to be allergic.

Topped it all off with a sample of their yummy ice cream.

Granny and Papa came over to have dinner for their birthdays.  This was the only moment all night when the kids briefly stopped bouncing off the walls.

Michigan

On our way to meet up with Daddy in Michigan on the 4th of July wearing the most patriot clothes we had.

Hanging out in the tree branch teepee Grandma Jane and Cooper made.

Click here to see a video of Monday Night Dance at the CSA.

It took some patience to get this photo.

And this one.

So proud he climbed to the top!

Hanging out.

Tennis lessons with our very own private instructor.

Elise decorated the net.

Picnic on a beautiful night.

Finley was so excited to ride on the front of Ashley's board, and Fafee tried out the other board!

Isaac's Bday & Children's Museum

We got to celebrate Isaac's 3rd birthday with him this year!

Elise loved her party hat!

Impossible to get a good photo of all 3 of them.

The Children's Museum in Greensboro is so great! Jessica and Isaac were kind enough to share their guest passes with us.

NC

After just a few days in MD, the kids and I were off on our first road trip to NC!

Reunited and it feels so good!

The kids did this on their own, I promise!

Sisters!

At Granny and Papa's house, playing with bubbles.

The boys...

...and the girls.

Elise helped take this one.

And Finley took this one.

Lots of time at playgrounds this summer. Need to keep these active kids busy!

Back to Blogging

I'm obviously WAY behind on blogging, so I'm going to start with time in the U.S. and I'll have to catch up on May/June in HK later. Here are a few photos from our first days at the new house.

Jet-lagged Elise resting in the Target shopping cart. Hooray for being back in the land of Target!

So glad to spend a little extra time with the Nelson family (on holiday in DC) and prolong the HK goodbye!

The kids call our swing set that came with the house "our playground".

Roasting marshmallows in our fire pit!

Checking out the new 'hood.
