After over 11 months in HK, we were so excited to come back to the States at the end of June! First stop, Michigan!
These photos are from Crystal Mountain, where we went to a 4th of July fair they had (on the 3rd :). Finley got to feed animals, and Elise was a bit scared but still enjoyed them from a safe distance.
Finley's favorite part of Crystal Mountain was the fire trucks and ambulance they had for kids to check out. He even got to turn on the lights!
We got in some good playground time, as well.
It's a lovely annual tradition to gather at Aunt Sue's for the 4th of July parade. Her house is right on the parade route. Finley and Elise got to hang out with Nate's cousin's daughter who is in between their ages.
It was a bit loud with the fire trucks and horns and such, but they still loved it. Finley's favorite part was the fire trucks, and Elise enjoyed the horses.
We went to an alpaca ranch and got to pet an alpaca. It was pretty darn cute and made sweet little noises.
We went to two Monday Night Dances at the CSA. The kids did great with the singing and motions this year! It was packed with kids and their families, and a little overstimulating, but the kids still had a blast!
We've also been enjoying all the downtime, just soaking up family time.
