so far everything is going very well here in hk. weather isn't any worse than nc in the summer and no rain so far (though i think this is the rainy season maybe?). nate and i have been doing things like getting mobile phones, bank accounts, utilities, and furniture.
jet lag has been much better this trip than last time. we actually managed to stay up pretty late last night- without naps or caffeine!
we went to see our apartment yesterday- we love it! apartments are definitely small and insanely expensive here (think nyc). thank goodness hkis is paying! we have an amazing view from every room, and our only complaint is the bathrooms are slightly ugly- rusty red colored marble countertops and such. i'm very excited, however, that our bathrooms are totally bigger than the ones in durham.
side note: nate's looking through a guide book right now, and saw that there krispy kreme in hk! can you believe it? all the way from nc!
